K. M. LAUMANN
K. M. Laumann is an adult fantasy romance author who loves crafting whimsical worlds and swoony slow burns. The beginning to this epic quest began with her love for Percy Jackson and her years of waiting to be taken to Camp Half-Blood. Alas, a satyr never appeared but her desire to write her own vivid world only grew. Her initial writings consisted of magical realism and grim horror. (Thank the realm she didn't continue in her endeavor to scare the living daylights out of people. Some of those stories left her teachers wondering wether to clap or pray.)
With horror gone but her love for magic still strong, she set out into the world and attended Bowling Green State University, where she did not pursue creative writing and instead found her love for travel, business, and hospitality. (A love that lasted about a year) Covid hit and with it more disappointment. One could say the time indoors would have been a perfect time to write a novel. (How I wish I could have thrown a shoe at her) Instead, her Covid days were spent on Fortnite, battling her own villains and conquering worlds, but it wasn't enough. Binge watching became the new normal as well and with it came Outlander. (Finally!) Her discovery of the beloved heart throb, Jamie Fraser, identified something within her she never dared write before—romance. The rabbit hole commenced, gobbling up Diana Gabaldon's series and anything that contained magic and love. But also with this new passion came an idea.

What remains of her first attempt at a novel from high school is a dumpster fire, but from the ashes was born Amaris Carter. A spunky firefighter paramedic full of determination and deflective humor. The writing began and a year later she had her first complete draft. She would have cried, but it was 1am and she was sleep deprived. Her journey did not stop there. (Obviously) She edited...and edited...and edited until it finally became what it is today—A Realm of Blood and Mercy.

Currently, she lives in the lovely state of Ohio among the cornfields with her black cat, Omega, who loves long naps, zoomies at midnight, and catnip treats. Her day job consists of slaying fiery dragons and tending to the wounded. (I'll let you figure that one out) When she isn't spending every spare moment writing her next novel, she enjoys traveling and reading anything with a tragic love story. The messier her mascara the better.
